FFTA Conference Workshop Compares Features of Online Parent Training Programs
July 27, 2009

Eugene, OR - Lee White of Northwest Media, Inc. will be in Atlanta August 2 through the 5th presenting at the 23rd Annual Conference on Treatment Foster Care.

White's workshop, "Exploring the Quality and Value of Online Parent Training" is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday the 5th.

In the workshop, White will conduct a side-by-side comparison of key features of the leading online resource parent training websites with an eye toward helping agency staff identify the programs that meet their training goals. Key features include whether or not a program is evidence-based, independent third-party evaluation, training and tech support, and more.

As budgets are slashed, more states and agencies are turning to online training as a supplement to expensive in-house training sessions. Resource parents are grateful for online training because they get the information they need, when they need it, without the cost of child care or commuting.

Lee White is the president and co-founder of Northwest Media, Inc., of Eugene, OR. He will be available for meetings while in Atlanta; to schedule a meeting, please call 800-777-6636.
