The training fee includes the cost of the instructor-led 4 week online training program, 3 FPC online courses, all online training materials and program membership dues for your first year. Once a student has successfully completed the certification process, they will have access to the membership benefits
found here.
All parts of the 4 week CCP training are held online. The training begins at 8:30 a.m. on the first Tuesday of the month with a one hour Webinar, and continues with a weekly one hour Webinar at 8:30 a.m. each Tuesday for the next 3 weeks. Between Webinars, trainees are encouraged to utilize the weekly online quizzes and self-study exercises. These training materials are designed to reinforce the material covered during that week’s Webinar. The exam is offered within the two weeks following the completion of the CCP training; one part of the exam is done at home and emailed to the instructor and the other is taken via phone.
Note: CCP trainings are currently scheduled for June, September, and November of 2010 and in February, April and June of 2011. Additional trainings will be added if needed.
The FPC Certifying Exam is a two-section test designed to ensure that your knowledge of FPC is at a specific level and that you are prepared to offer your Certified Consulting services to agencies. The test is comprised of a take-home written section and an on-phone oral section. When you complete this test, you will be testifying that the answers given are your own. A test score of 85% is required for certification.
The CCP training is intended to prepare you for the Certifying Exam; your trainer is also available to offer feedback on your weekly work. All training materials are available as study guides for the certifying exam.
You may retake the exam at any time; however, after the initial try, it will cost $50 for each retake.
Once the Program Manager has received your application and confirmed your qualifications, you will receive an email that includes a registration payment form. Payment in full will secure you a seat in one of the upcoming CCP trainings offered. We accept payment via Visa, MasterCard, American Express and personal check. Payment for training courses attended is non-refundable.
Enrollments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to two weeks prior to the start of class to receive a 90% refund. Cancellations received thereafter will receive a 60% refund. All cancellations must be sent to certifiedconsultantprogram@northwestmedia.com . Receipt of cancellation will be confirmed via email within 48 hours. No-shows are subject to 100% penalty.
